Not your Common Data is a multimedia documentary project which explores the potential of dance music clubs within urban development as contemporary sites of cultural actualization, social negotiation, and transcendental knowledge acquisition. Through mediated sonics, engage bodies and actives minds these places are transformed into spaces of data/ information transferring and cross- continental socio-cultural experiencing. The notion of rhythmic analysis alongside community development are quintessential in underground dance music culture and it is time for city planners to recognize the immerse potential these grassroots driven sites have to offer for the flourishing of city dwelling at large.
